Her work increasingly focuses on the role of cultural heritage, place identity, and well-being in sustainable landscape planning, particularly within biosphere reserves and mountain regions. There is a clear emphasis on stakeholder engagement, science communication through film and exhibitions, and the practical implementation of ecosystem services in planning.
Notable research projects include:
- Railway, Gaze and Landscape – funded by the Swedish Transport Administration
- PlaCES (Erasmus+) – collaboration with universities in Italy, Germany, and France
- Ecosystem services – an integrative instrument? – funded by Formas
- My place in the Biosphere – Formas-funded communication project
- Mountain Landscape – Cultural Ecosystem Services – funded by RAÄ and the Swedish EPA
She actively mentors and collaborates with researchers and stakeholders but no formal students are listed. Her outreach includes films, traveling exhibitions, and podcasts aimed at public engagement with environmental science.
