Ines Alisa Wagner is a Research Professor at ARENA Centre for European Studies at the University of Oslo and holds a visiting position at the Center for European Studies at Harvard University (2023–2024). She is affiliated with the Institute for Social Research in Oslo and has previously held positions at the American German Institute (Johns Hopkins), Max Planck Institute for the Study of Societies, European University Institute, and Economic and Social Research Institute.
Her research focuses on labor mobility in the EU, gender and work, and the future of work, with a particular emphasis on transnational employment relations and gender equality in corporatist systems. She has published extensively in journals like Transfer - European Review of Labour and Research, Journal of Common Market Studies, and European Journal of Industrial Relations.
Wagner’s recent articles explore topics such as cross-border labor mobility during crises, algorithmic management in digitalized services, and gendered inequality in egalitarian frameworks. She has received recognition as a John F. Kennedy Memorial Fellow at Harvard University.
