Indika U. Perera

Dr. Indika Perera is a Lecturer at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute with joint appointments in Architecture and Mechanical Engineering. His research spans LED thermal management, phosphor materials, and 3D-printed optical components. He earned his PhD in Architectural Sciences from RPI with additional degrees from Purdue and University of Moratuwa.

Research focuses on heat dissipation in LED systems, down-conversion materials, and predictive modeling of temperature distribution in semiconductor layers. Current work explores additive manufacturing for custom heat sinks and reliability analysis of printed components.
