Indika Edirisinghe is a Professor of Food Science and Nutrition and Associate Director of the Center for Nutrition Research at Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT). He holds a PhD from the University of Peradeniya (Sri Lanka), an M.Phil. from the same institution, and a B.Sc. from the University of Delhi (India). His research focuses on the impact of dietary components on vascular disease, particularly investigating endothelial function, oxidative stress, and inflammatory responses through in vivo human studies and in vitro models. He is affiliated with professional organizations including the Society of Free Radical Biology and Medicine and the American Physiological Society.
