Ina T. Martin

Ina T. Martin, PhD, is an Adjunct Associate Professor in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at Case Western Reserve University's Case School of Engineering. She currently serves as Director of Research Cores and Operations in the Office of Strategic Partnerships Program. Her roles involve overseeing research infrastructure development, including planning for the Interdisciplinary Science and Engineering Building (ISEB) and the 11000 Cedar Startup Incubator. Dr. Martin previously directed the Materials for Opto/electronics Research and Education (MORE) Center for 13 years, fostering interdisciplinary collaboration through research, education, and public outreach.

Education: PhD in Analytical Chemistry (2005, Colorado State University); postdoctoral research in applied physics at Eindhoven University of Technology and National Renewable Energy Laboratory.

Research focuses on materials deposition/characterization, degradation processes, renewable energy applications (e.g., photovoltaics), and technical art history. She actively advocates for climate action and scientific literacy through educational outreach programs. Her leadership emphasizes cross-disciplinary collaboration across CWRU schools and departments.
