Imourana Alassane-Kpembi is an Associate Professor at the Université de Montréal's Faculté de médecine vétérinaire, working in the Département de biomédecine vétérinaire. He holds a DMV from the École Inter-Etats des Sciences et Médecine Vétérinaires (Senegal) and a PhD in Toxicology from the Université de Toulouse (France). His research focuses on the health effects of mycotoxins and other contaminants, particularly their impacts on immunity, intestinal health, and reproduction, using pigs as experimental models. He leads projects on masked mycotoxins and their toxicological interactions, funded by agencies like CRSNG and industry partners. He is a co-investigator in the CRIPA (Centre de Recherche en Infectiologie Porcine et Avicole) initiative and actively mentors students in toxicology and veterinary sciences.
