Iman Mossavat

Iman Mossavat serves as a Teacher-researcher at Fontys University of Applied Sciences within the School of ICT and AI & Big Data research group, joining in 2022 after 15 years at Eindhoven University of Technology and ASML Research.

His academic credentials include a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering from Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, Master's from Sharif University of Technology, and M.Eng from National University of Singapore.

Research centers on applying AI to strengthen democracy through journalism-focused misinformation analysis using Natural Language Processing and Graph Algorithms. Teaching spans mathematics (linear algebra, graph algorithms), statistics, decision theory in Academic Preparatory Programs, and data analytics/machine learning for Smart Industry specializations.

As part of Fontys' AI & Big Data research group, he trains students in creative problem-solving while developing pragmatic AI applications for societal challenges.
