Iluju Kiringa is a Professor in the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the University of Ottawa. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Toronto and advanced degrees from the University of Bonn. His research focuses on Databases, Peer-to-Peer Systems, and Artificial Intelligence with specializations in IoT data management, computational complexity, and environmental data modeling. He has taught numerous graduate and undergraduate courses including CSI5140 (Computational Complexity) and CSI3130 (Databases II), and has developed the Hyperion peer database system. His work emphasizes practical applications such as smart farming systems and cybersecurity in IoT.
Key projects include the Ottawa Area XO Smart Farming Research Fields and the Business Intelligence Network. His research has led to advancements in federated learning, adversarial robustness in neural networks, and predictive maintenance algorithms. Kiringa’s work bridges theoretical computer science with real-world challenges in agriculture, environmental science, and distributed systems.
