Ilko Nikolaev Getov

Prof. Ilko Nikolaev Getov is a Full-time Professor at the Department of Organization and Economics of Pharmacy, Faculty of Pharmacy, Medical University of Sofia. He has held academic positions since 1997, progressing from Assistant/Associate Professor (2005) to Full Professor (2013). He chairs the General Assembly of the Faculty of Pharmacy (2021–2025) and has leadership roles in professional organizations such as the Bulgarian Pharmaceutical Union and the European Medicines Agency (CHMP member since 2020).

• Education: PhD in Pharmacy (1997), specializing in Pharmacoeconomics and Pharmacoepidemiology.
• Research Focus: Includes drug regulation, clinical trials, and pharmaceutical policy.

He has authored 182 publications, 12 textbooks, and contributed to 5 research projects funded by the NSF and other bodies. His editorial roles include European Journal of Hospital Pharmacy and Bulgarian Journal of Public Health.
