Dr. Ildikó Virág Neumann serves as Associate Professor and Head of the Department of International Economics at the Faculty of Business and Economics, University of Pannonia. She has been a Faculty Council member since 2011 and currently presides over the Veszprém County Organization of the Hungarian Economic Society (2023-present), maintaining active INFER membership since 2014.

Her primary research investigates European integration dynamics, specifically the economic impacts of Central and Eastern Europe's EU accession through gravity model-based trade analysis. This extends to sustainability economics where she examines circular economy frameworks, climate change mitigation strategies, and socio-economic dimensions of sustainable development policies, with emphasis on EU trade policy effectiveness.
