Ildikò Erika Stephanie Risse

Ildikò Erika Stephanie Risse is a Tenured Associate Professor at the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano's Faculty of Education, specializing in Multilingualism, Pragmatics, and German linguistics. Her research explores linguistic pragmatics and multilingual communication, with professional experience across Russia, Ukraine, Central Asia, and the Balkans as a journalist and researcher.

She holds a Magister Artium (1994) and Dr. phil. (2013) from Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich, with Italian Abilitazione obtained in 2017. Before joining the university in 2008, she worked at the European Academy Bolzano, German Organisation for International Cooperation (GIZ), Osteuropa-Institute Munich, and the German Bundestag.
