Ilaria Papa

Ilaria Papa is a Lecturer at the Interuniversity Department of Territorial Sciences, Planning and Policies (DIST) at Politecnico di Torino, Italy. She is an external lecturer and teaching assistant with expertise in urban and landscape heritage, territorial planning, and architectural conservation. Since the 2021/22 academic year, she has served as a Course Collaborator for multiple degree programs, including the Master's Degree in Urban and Regional Planning and the Bachelor's Degree in History of Architecture and Cities Lab B.

Her research focuses on medieval architectural heritage, with a particular emphasis on construction techniques, traditional mortars, and preservation strategies. She has contributed to studies on rural architectural heritage in Piedmont, brick wall finishing systems in 12th-13th century religious structures, and vaulted systems in Gothic churches.
