Ilana Crispi

Ilana Crispi is an Associate Professor in the School of Art at San Francisco State University, specializing in ceramics and interdisciplinary art. She teaches ceramics and creates site-specific installations that blend traditional craft with local geology, history, and recycled materials.

Research Interests: Crispi's practice investigates human perception and environmental interaction through clay, dirt, and locally sourced materials. Her work often engages with themes of place, memory, and sustainability, using junk materials and food alongside traditional ceramics.
