Ikhlaq Sidhu

Ikhlaq Sidhu is the Dean of the School of Science & Technology at IE University (Madrid since 2022) and Founding Director of UC Berkeley’s Sutardja Center for Entrepreneurship & Technology (SCET, since 2005). He holds over 60 patents in internet communication technologies and pioneered frameworks like the Berkeley Method of Entrepreneurship and the Berkeley Innovation Index.

Education: B.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign; M.S. and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Northwestern University; Honorary Ph.D. from Lund University (2023).

Research focuses on innovating education models (e.g., Data-X course, IQ Series lecture series), AI/exponential technologies policy (Think Tank Lab), and digital asset regulation (Virtual Asset Regulation Lab with Ripple). His work integrates global collaborations across academia, industry, and policymakers.
