Ija Trapeznikova is a Professor in the Department of Economics at Royal Holloway, University of London, and a Research Associate at the Baltic International Centre for Economic Policy Studies in Riga, Latvia. She holds a PhD from Northwestern University (2010) and a Master’s from the Central European University. Her research bridges Macroeconomics and Labor Economics, focusing on policy impacts using large administrative datasets from multiple countries, including Sub-Saharan Africa and Denmark.

Her work examines labor market dynamics, firm behavior, and development contexts, emphasizing computational methods and SDGs.
