Igor Milunović is a Full Professor at the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics, University of Banja Luka, specializing in Environmental Protection. His research focuses on the impact of pollutants on air, water, and soil, with a particular emphasis on bioremediation, climate change effects, and sustainable waste management.

His recent publications explore biomass energy, highway-related air and noise pollution, industrial waste characterization, and ecotoxicological effects of hydrocarbons and pesticides. His work spans interdisciplinary collaboration with institutions like the Academy of Sciences and Arts of the Republic of Srpska and the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, and Water Management.
Current projects include the Program for the Development of Fisheries and Aquaculture in the Republika Srpska and climate risk research co-financed by the Fund for Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency. He teaches courses such as Air Pollution and Protection, Environmental Protection Technology, and Energy-Related Environmental Economics.
