Igor Medveď

Prof. Igor Medveď is a Professor at the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava (STU), affiliated with the Institute of Materials (MTF) within the Faculty of Materials Science and Technology (MTF). He specializes in experimental methods applied to the study of hygrothermal properties of porous materials and heat/moisture transport in construction materials. His teaching includes courses such as Physics 1, Physics 2, and doctoral-level topics like Physical Principles of Measurements and Heat and Moisture Transfer in Porous Materials. He leads two major research projects funded by KEGA and VEGA grants (2019–2021), focusing on experimental methodologies for material analysis and salt transport in building materials.

Prof. Medveď is actively involved in academic governance, serving on bodies like the Scientific Council of the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Doctoral Study Program Committees, and Study Program Councils.
