Igor Galligo

Igor Galligo is a guest researcher at Leuphana University’s Institute of Culture and Aesthetics of Digital Media (ICAM) under Erich Hörl’s program since March 2024. Previously, he held roles including Visiting Scholar at UC Berkeley (2022), researcher at Berlin Open Lab (2022–2023), and founder of NOODESIGN (2018) and AUTOMEDIAS.ORG (2022). His work focuses on digital media ecology, attention design, and post-truth dynamics.

Education:

• Four Master’s degrees: contemporary philosophy, visual arts/aesthetics (University of Paris 1 Sorbonne), political science (École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales).

Research Interests:

• Ecology of attention and its design in digital contexts.
• Automedia systems and their role in political movements (e.g., Gilets Jaunes).
• Critical theory of media participation and surveillance capitalism.
• Post-truth communication and contributory media frameworks.
