Ignazio Roppolo

Ignazio Roppolo is a Fixed-term tenure-track assistant professor at the Department of Applied Science and Technology (DISAT) at Politecnico di Torino. He is a member of the Interdepartmental Center PolitoBIOMed Lab - Biomedical Engineering Lab and coordinates a specialized laboratory focused on photoinduced 3D printing. His academic affiliation falls under the College of Electronic, Telecommunications, and Physics Engineering.

Dr. Roppolo's research interests center on photopolymerization and polymeric 3D printing, with a specific focus on developing new materials and fabrication routes through a materials science-based approach. He also serves as Scientific Director for the non-commercial collaboration agreement between Politecnico di Torino and the Italian Institute of Technology Foundation (PILLAR) from 2021-2026. His teaching portfolio includes Physics I courses across multiple engineering programs and specialized PhD-level instruction on photopolymers.
