Lidegran's research explores cultural capital in elite education, the emergence of sustainable development curricula, and gender-class dynamics in Swedish upper secondary schools. Recent studies analyze pandemic impacts on education and migrant professionals' challenges in mobilizing cultural capital within Sweden's health sector.
Her 15 most recent publications (2018-2024) span sociology of education, migration studies, and pandemic-era educational adaptation, with subfields like marketization of preschools, teacher training reforms, and social stratification. Topics intersect with policy analysis, social theory, and empirical studies on cultural capital.
She collaborates with researchers such as Mikael Börjesson, Donald Broady, and Mette Ginnerskov-Dahlberg on projects examining educational markets, elite subfields, and transnational educational strategies.
