Dr. Ida Kubiszewski is an Honorary Associate Professor at The Australian National University's Crawford School of Public Policy, specializing in ecological economics and sustainability science. She holds a Ph.D. from the University of Vermont and has conducted climate negotiations for the Dominican Republic, focusing on adaptation and loss & damage. Her editorial roles include co-founding the Solutions journal and serving as managing editor of the Encyclopedia of Earth.
Her research emphasizes ecosystem service valuation, sustainable wellbeing futures, and the Genuine Progress Indicator (GPI). Over 50 peer-reviewed papers and six books reflect her work on topics like climate policy, renewable energy, and post-disaster recovery. She is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and member of the Club of Rome and Balaton Group.
