Ida Bruheim-Escobar

Ida Bruheim-Escobar is an Associate Professor in Child Welfare at the University of Stavanger’s Faculty of Social Sciences, Department of Social Sciences. Her research focuses on child welfare, technology in healthcare and education, ethics in technology, early childhood development, and comparative social work. She holds a PhD from the University of Stavanger (2021), exploring social workers’ perspectives on children in Chile and Norway.

Research interests include the integration of technology in child welfare practices, family policy analysis, sensory engagement in early learning, and cross-cultural studies of child protection systems.
