Ichiro Takayoshi is an Associate Professor of English at Tufts University’s School of Arts and Sciences. His research focuses on American literature, social thought in the modern period, literary theory, and aesthetics. He is currently working on two book projects: one exploring the history of reality and imagination in the U.S., and another on a rational model of art consumption.
- Education: PhD in English and Comparative Literature (Columbia University), MA and BA in Interdisciplinary Cultural Studies (University of Tokyo).
His interdisciplinary approach bridges literary studies with intellectual history, examining how aesthetic and theoretical frameworks shape cultural narratives. He teaches courses in modern literature and critical theory.
