Ibolya Schindele

Ibolya Schindele is a Senior Lecturer (part-time) in the Department of Economics at the Central European University (CEU) and an associated researcher at the Financial System Analysis Directorate of the Central Bank of Hungary. She has taught at institutions including the University of Vienna, EDHEC Business School, and BI Norwegian Business School. Her research focuses on corporate finance, banking, and financial intermediation, with a particular emphasis on monetary policy impacts and financial market dynamics. She holds a Ph.D. in Financial Economics from the University of Amsterdam and an M.A. in Economics from CEU.

Her academic contributions include studies on household loan supply, foreign currency credit channels, and the viability of stakeholder-oriented firms. She has published in journals such as the Journal of International Economics and the Review of Financial Studies. As Subject Editor of the Journal of Multinational Financial Management, she actively contributes to academic discourse. Her work integrates theoretical frameworks with empirical analysis, addressing critical issues in financial systems and policy.

Key research areas include the effects of monetary policy on bank lending, corporate finance structures, and the role of social capital in financial institutions.
