معرفی
Dr. Iaroslav Meleshenkovskii is a Research Fellow and Scientific Project Leader at the Jülich Centre for Neutron Science (JCNS) of Forschungszentrum Jülich, based at the Heinz Maier-Leibnitz Zentrum in Garching. He leads the EU-funded MAGFAST project, which focuses on developing fast neutron inelastic scattering techniques for rapid, non-destructive analysis of rare-earth magnets in industrial applications. His work addresses critical challenges in sustainable resource management and recycling of strategic materials.
Research Interests:
- Applied nuclear metrology
- Fast neutron scattering for material characterization
- Recycling of rare-earth magnets
- Computational modeling (Monte Carlo simulations, machine learning)
- Sustainable resource management under the EU Critical Raw Materials Act
Key Roles & Projects:
- MAGFAST Project Leader (EU-funded via GNeuS COFUND program)
- Collaboration with academia and industry to advance neutron analytical techniques
- Member of the GNeuS fellows governing board to enhance leadership skills
Awards: Recipient of the GNeuS COFUND fellowship, supporting R&D in neutron-based technologies.
Technical Expertise: Integrates theoretical physics, experimental neutron techniques, and machine learning to solve industrial-scale material analysis challenges.
Future Impact: Aims to demonstrate the viability of fast neutron methods for industrial magnet recycling, aligning with EU sustainability goals.
