معرفی
Ian Lowe is a Researcher at the Steward Observatory, University of Arizona. He joined in September 2021 to collaborate with Professor Dan Marrone on the TIM and TIME experiments, which utilize sub-Kelvin cryogenic detectors to study star formation through line emission tracers across millimeter and submillimeter wavelengths.
- Education: PhD in Astrophysics (2021), University of Pennsylvania
His research focuses on interstellar dust properties, cryogenic detector systems, and stratospheric balloon instrumentation. He brings expertise from the BLAST-TNG experiment to refine TIM payload design and data collection methodologies. Current projects emphasize advancing instrumentation for high-sensitivity astronomical observations in remote wavelength regimes.
