Prof. Dr. Ian Gibson holds dual roles at the University of Twente: Professor of Industrial Design Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering Technology and Scientific Director of the Fraunhofer Project Centre in Complex Systems Engineering. He bridges academic research with industrial applications, guiding professors on research and career development while leading applied projects in additive manufacturing and digital twinning.
