Hüseyin Levent KORAP is an Associate Professor in the Department of Economics at the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Kastamonu University, Turkey. He has been serving as the Head of Department since 2019 and previously held positions as an Associate Professor (2019-2021) and Doctoral Lecturer (2014-2019) at the same institution. Prior to this, he worked as a Doctoral Lecturer at Gaziantep University's Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences (2011-2013).

- Master's Degree in Economics (Thesis) from Istanbul University, Faculty of Economics (1999-2001)
- Bachelor's Degree in Economics from Marmara University, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences (1994-1998)
Dr. Korap's research interests span a wide range of economic fields with particular focus on Macroeconomics, Monetary Policy, and Economic Theory. His scholarly work demonstrates deep expertise in Turkish economic issues, inflation dynamics, business cycles, and international economics. He has made significant contributions to understanding exchange rate determination, trade balance modeling, and the relationship between financial development and economic growth, particularly in the Turkish context.
His extensive publication record (over 170 publications) reveals a consistent research trajectory focused on empirical economic analysis using advanced econometric techniques. The majority of his recent work employs ARDL bounds testing, time series analysis, and structural modeling approaches to examine key economic relationships in emerging markets, with special emphasis on Turkey.

Dr. Korap has supervised numerous graduate students, with seven Master's theses listed in the records, demonstrating his commitment to academic mentoring. His teaching portfolio includes courses in Mathematical Economics, Monetary Theory and Policy, History of Economic Thought, and Macroeconomics. He has maintained an active research agenda throughout his career, with publications spanning from 2005 to the present, including a 2024 publication in Emerging Markets Review.
