Håkon Johan Sandven

Håkon Johan Sandven is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Department of Physics and Technology, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Bergen (UiB). His research focuses on ocean optics with particular emphasis on light penetration in Arctic waters and the Barents Sea. He collaborates extensively with the Norwegian Polar Institute and participates in multiple international research projects examining the relationship between sea ice decline and marine ecosystem changes.

Dr. Sandven's research interests center on understanding how light availability in marine environments affects phytoplankton dynamics and overall ecosystem productivity.
