Hyunyoung Lee is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Computer Science & Engineering at Texas A&M University, College Station, TX. She holds a Ph.D. from Texas A&M University (2001), M.A. from Boston University (1998), and B.S./M.S. from Ewha University, Seoul, Korea (1987/1992). Her research focuses on distributed algorithms, wireless mobile computing, and fault-tolerant systems, with contributions to dynamic distributed systems, sensor networks, and security protocols.
Her educational background includes advanced degrees in Computer Science across institutions in Korea and the U.S. Teaching responsibilities include courses like Discrete Structures (CSCE 222) and Programming Languages (CSCE 314). She is a co-author of the textbook Discrete Structures (Springer, 2025) and serves as a Senior Member of IEEE and editorial board member of the International Journal of Parallel, Emergent and Distributed Systems.
