Hyerim Cho

Hyerim Cho is an Assistant Professor in the School of Information Science & Learning Technologies at the University of Missouri. She holds a PhD in Information Science from the University of Washington.

Her research examines user interactions with visual media like anime, graphic novels, and video games. She develops metadata schemas and recommendation systems for pop-cultural content through mixed-methods studies.

Cho's work bridges information science and media studies to enhance multimedia retrieval and personalization. She teaches courses on information behavior, digital media, and human-computer interaction.
