Huw Lloyd-Ellis is a Professor of Economics at Queen's University, Canada, within the Faculty of Arts and Science. He holds a PhD in Economics from Queen's University (1994), an MA from Queen's (1989), and a BSc (Honors) in Economics from the University of Southampton (1988). His research focuses on macroeconomics, economic development, housing markets, and fiscal policy. He has led the Queen’s Economics Department (2013–2019) and currently serves as Vice President of the Canadian Economics Association. Key research areas include economic inequality, urban economics, and policy analysis. He teaches macroeconomics and development economics at both undergraduate and graduate levels.
