Dr. Huong Nguyen is a Lecturer in Management and Human Resources at La Trobe University's Department of Management and Marketing. With over 20 years of experience across Australia and Vietnam, her expertise spans human resource management, leadership of women and diverse groups, and institutional theories. She has led projects including a DFAT-funded initiative advancing women leaders in Vietnam and a comparative study of university presidents in the UK, France, and Vietnam. Dr. Nguyen holds a PhD from the University of Melbourne, specializing in educational management, and has contributed to over 40 conference presentations and publications.
Her research focuses on inclusive leadership, career pathways for ethnically diverse women, and organizational barriers/enablers in corporate and academic settings. She has secured $40,000 in external funding and developed impactful curricula across Australia and Vietnam. Dr. Nguyen previously served as Dean at Hanoi University of Industry and founded the iVANet Researcher Development Program to support early-career researchers.
