Hung Tran is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Texas Tech University (TTU), with a focus on Geometric Analysis and Differential Geometry. Previously, he was a visiting assistant professor at the University of California, Irvine (UCI), and earned his Ph.D. from Cornell University under Prof. Xiaodong Cao. His research interests include Minimal Surfaces, Ricci Flow, Einstein Manifolds, and applications to Data Sciences.
Education:
- Ph.D. in Mathematics (Thesis Advisor: Xiaodong Cao), Cornell University, 2014.
- B.A. in Mathematics and Economics (summa cum laude), Berea College, 2009.
Research Interests and Grants:
- Geometric Analysis, Minimal Surfaces, Four-Dimensional Manifolds.
