Hung-Mo Lin is a Professor of Anesthesiology and Biostatistics at Yale University School of Medicine, with affiliations to the Yale Center for Analytical Sciences (YCAS). He holds a ScD and MS in Biostatistics from Harvard University School of Public Health. His research focuses on clinical and statistical methodologies in anesthesiology, perioperative outcomes, surgical pain management, and epidemiological studies of postoperative complications. He collaborates with experts in cardiology, neurology, and public health to analyze large datasets and improve patient care.
His recent work includes studies on opioid use in cardiac surgery, regional anesthesia techniques, and the impact of race/ethnicity on surgical outcomes. He also investigates cognitive decline in Alzheimer’s disease families and postoperative renal dysfunction. Lin’s interdisciplinary approach bridges biostatistics and clinical practice, addressing disparities in healthcare access and optimizing perioperative care through rigorous data analysis.
Key collaborations include work with Jaime Hyman, Clark Fisher, and Robert Schonberger. His research emphasizes evidence-based practices, with a focus on improving surgical outcomes through statistical rigor and translational medicine.
