Huimin Liu

Dr. Huimin Liu is a Research Fellow at the Interface Science Department of the Fritz Haber Institute of the Max Planck Society. She was awarded the prestigious Alexander von Humboldt Research Fellowship (2025) to support her research on electrocatalytic C-N coupling mechanisms for sustainable chemical synthesis. Her work focuses on noble metal nanocatalysts, electrocatalytic ammonia synthesis, and CO₂/nitrate co-reduction processes.

Her current research under Dr. Arno Bergmann and Prof. Beatriz Roldán Cuenya explores mechanisms of electrocatalytic urea synthesis from CO₂ and nitrate, with implications for environmental sustainability and green chemistry.
