Hugues Lantuit

Prof. Hugues Lantuit is a Professor of Polar Coasts at the University of Potsdam and leads the Arctic Coastal Erosion Research Group at the Alfred Wegener Institute (AWI). His work focuses on permafrost coasts, climate change impacts, and the socio-ecological dynamics of Arctic regions. He combines field measurements, remote sensing, and stakeholder collaboration to address coastal erosion, permafrost thaw, and carbon cycle dynamics.
