Hugh Willmott is a Professor of Management and Organization Studies at Bayes Business School, City, University of London. He previously held roles at institutions including the University of Cambridge (Judge Business School), Cardiff Business School, and UMIST. His research focuses on critical management studies, corporate governance, organizational culture, and the sociology of work.
Education: PhD (Honorary) from Lund University (2011), PhD from the University of Manchester (1977), and BSc from the University of Manchester (1972).
Research Interests: Organization theory, corporate governance, management education, accounting policy, and the critique of neoliberal practices. He has authored/co-authored over 20 books and numerous articles, including seminal works like Introducing Organizational Behaviour and Management and Organization Theory and Design.
Awards: Fellow of the British Academy, Fellow of the Judge Business School, and honorary doctorate from Lund University. He has served on editorial boards of top journals like Academy of Management Review and Organization Studies.
