Hubert Spiesberger is a Professor at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz, leading the Group of Hubert Spiesberger within the Theoretical Elementary Particle Physics (THEP) group. His research focuses on high-precision predictions for particle phenomenology, particularly in electroweak and strong interactions, and explores physics beyond the Standard Model. He is actively involved in experiments such as the MESA electron accelerator in Mainz, aiming to measure the weak mixing angle via parity-violating electron-proton scattering. His work also extends to future projects like the LHeC and EIC. Additionally, he leads research in Electrical Impedance Tomography (EIT), developing medical imaging techniques for non-invasive diagnostics, collaborating with institutions in Oxford and Malta.
- Key Collaborations: Prof. Karl Schilcher, Prof. Khaled Hayatleh, Prof. Cristiana Sebu
- Experimental Focus: P2 experiment at MESA, HERA data analysis (H1/ZEUS), and EIT algorithm development
His research bridges theoretical physics with applied medical technologies, emphasizing interdisciplinary innovation.
