Prof. Dr. Hubert Pausch is an Associate Professor in the Department of Environmental Systems Science at ETH Zurich, specializing in animal genomics and statistical genetics. He leads the Animal Genomics Professorship, focusing on combining genomic data with incomplete population data for livestock improvement. His work includes identifying genetic variants affecting cattle health and productivity, advancing customized breeding strategies, and contributing to the Agrovet-Strickhof Education and Research Centre.
Education: Studied Agricultural Sciences at TU Munich (focus: Animal Production), PhD in Animal Genetics from TU Munich under Prof. Ruedi Fries. Awards include the H.
