Hrivnák István

Hrivnák István is a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Control for Transportation and Vehicle Systems of the Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BUTE). He has held academic positions since 1987, including roles at the Hungarian Academy of Sciences (1984–1987) and Tran-SYS Ltd. (1994–present) as a managing director. His work bridges academic research and industrial applications in transportation systems.

Research Interests focus on Railway Automation, Simulation of Railway Interlocking, and Railway IT. He has developed real-time simulation tools for teaching and industrial planning, contributing to advancements in railway transportation efficiency and safety.
