Howard Kushner

Howard I. Kushner is the Nat C. Robertson Distinguished Professor Emeritus at Emory University, with joint appointments in public health and neuroscience. His research examines the histories of Tourette syndrome, left-handedness, and Kawasaki disease through medical and cultural lenses.

He authored On the Other Hand: Left Hand, Right Brain, Mental Illness, and History (2017), exploring the social and biological implications of laterality. His collaborative work on Kawasaki disease received NIH and foundation funding.
