Houston Lester

Houston Lester is an Assistant Professor of Management at The University of Mississippi, based in the Department of Management within the School of Business Administration. He holds a Ph.D. in Psychological Studies in Education from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and completed a VA Health Services Research and Development postdoctoral fellowship, followed by work as a programmer/statistician at Baylor College of Medicine.

His research focuses on statistical methodologies for studying groups and teams, emphasizing multilevel models and Bayesian techniques to bridge theoretical models and statistical analysis. His work is supported by NIH grants and published in journals like Organizational Research Methods and The Leadership Quarterly. He teaches courses such as Information Technology in Business (GB 310) and Leadership and Ethics (MBA 601).

Dr. Lester advises graduate students and postdoctoral fellows on statistical analyses and contributes to interdisciplinary research at the intersection of management, healthcare, and quantitative methods.
