Hossein Kassiri

Hossein Kassiri is an Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at York University. He directs the Microelectronic Prototyping and Test (MPT) Center and the Integrated Circuits and Systems Lab (ICSL). Additionally, he co-founded BrainCom Inc. in 2015 and serves as its Chief Technology Officer, focusing on implantable brain-computer interfaces.

• M.A.Sc. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from McMaster University (2010)
• PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from University of Toronto (2015)

His research focuses on Analog and Mixed Signal IC Design, Low Power Implantable/Wearable Sensory Microsystems, and Wirelessly-Powered Medical Implants. He explores Physiological Signal Processing and VLSI Implementation for applications in neurological disorder monitoring and treatment.
