معرفی
Hossein Ameli is an Advanced Research Fellow at Imperial College London's Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (Faculty of Engineering). His research focuses on integrating gas/hydrogen and electricity systems, emphasizing decarbonization, resilience, and flexibility in energy networks. He contributes to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) Working Group III and has led projects on thermal energy storage and UK energy systems modeling.
Ameli holds a PhD from Imperial College London (Faculty of Engineering). His work addresses challenges in energy transition, including electrification of heat and transport sectors, and employs advanced modeling techniques to evaluate flexibility options (e.g., demand response, storage, interconnections). He has collaborated with organizations like the Committee on Climate Change (CCC) and Ofgem on policy-relevant studies.
His research interests span energy systems optimization, hydrogen integration, resilience engineering, and interdisciplinary approaches to decarbonization. He has published extensively on topics such as multi-vector energy systems, microgrid resilience, and techno-economic analysis of storage technologies. His contributions aim to bridge technical innovation with policy frameworks for achieving net-zero targets.
