Hooman Kazemi is a Lecturer at the University of Southern California (USC) and the Assistant Program Director of the USC Dornsife Trial Advocacy Program. He has been a Deputy Public Defender with the Los Angeles County Public Defender's Office since 2008. His roles include training new public defenders and mentoring them in trial advocacy. He also serves as faculty at the National Institute for Trial Advocacy (NITA).

He has presented at numerous legal seminars and conferences, focusing on topics like juvenile delinquency and tactical considerations in criminal trials.
