Honor Young (she/her) is a Senior Lecturer at Cardiff University's School of Social Sciences and a key member of the Centre for the Development, Evaluation, Complexity and Implementation in Public Health Improvement (DECIPHer). She co-leads DECIPHer's 'Improving Population Health' Programme and serves as Deputy Director for the Welsh Government-funded School Health Research Network (SHRN). As co-Principal Investigator for the Health Behaviour in School-aged Children (HBSC) Study in Wales, she collaborates with the World Health Organization (WHO). Her research focuses on health psychology and public health, particularly the social determinants of young people's sexual health, relationships, and violence prevention.

Her work emphasizes youth participation in research design and implementation. Recent projects include the SaFE intervention for Further Education settings and the Positive Choices trial. She also explores digital transformation of sexual health services and equity in intervention effectiveness.
