Hongrui Liu

Dr. Hongrui Liu is an Associate Professor in Industrial and Systems Engineering at San José State University. With over 10 years of industry experience in energy management, she collaborates with independent regional transmission organizations (ISOs) to design and analyze optimization tools for electricity scheduling, pricing, and dispatch. She holds a Ph.D. in Industrial and Systems Engineering from the University of Washington (2010).

Her research integrates optimization modeling, computing algorithms, data analytics, machine learning, and AI to solve complex problems in supply chain and energy systems. Current projects focus on developing advanced computational methods for industrial applications.
