Hongfu Liu is a tenure-track Assistant Professor at the Michtom School of Computer Science, Brandeis University. His research focuses on machine learning, data mining, and their applications in areas like cluster analysis, outlier detection, transfer learning, and feature selection. He holds a PhD in Electrical & Computer Engineering from Northeastern University (2018), and multiple bachelor’s degrees from Beihang University, including Information Systems, Applied Mathematics, and Law, alongside a Management master’s.
He has received prestigious awards such as the Top 100 Young Chinese Scholars (Data Mining Area) and Baidu Talent Highlighted Area Chair. His work spans theoretical advancements in clustering algorithms and practical applications in finance, healthcare, and autonomous systems.
