معرفی
Hong Zheng is an Associate Professor at the Department of Chemistry, College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, Xiamen University. His academic career has focused on fluorescence sensing and molecular recognition, with a specialization in molecular spectral analysis. He holds a Doctor of Science in Analytical Chemistry from Xiamen University (1999) and completed postdoctoral work at the School of Ocean and Environment (2000-2002).
- Education: B.Sc. (1988), M.Sc. (Organic Chemistry, 1995), D.Sc. (Analytical Chemistry, 1999), Postdoctoral Fellow (Xiamen University, 2000-2002)
- Current Position: Department of Chemistry, Xiamen University (2003-present)
His research interests include the development of fluorescent chemosensors for metal ions and environmental analytes using modified fluorophores like rhodamine and fluorescein. Recent publications highlight innovations in near-infrared probes, ratiometric sensing, and intramolecular FRET mechanisms for detecting Hg²⁺, Ag⁺, Cu²⁺, hypochlorous acid, and biological thiols. Applications span aqueous media analysis and cellular imaging, particularly in human neutrophil cells.
Selected publications demonstrate expertise in molecular design strategies, such as spiro ring opening and single-atom modifications, to enhance sensor specificity. Collaborations include researchers like Yun-Bao Jiang and Jin-Gou Xu.
